Abstract
In this anti-manifesto, playwright, director, and scholar Louis Patrick Leroux explores the joys and challenges of practice-based theatre production as research-creation in the university setting. Rather than simply advocating process-based practice, he allows for certain doubts to inform his thinking about his research. He allows the manifesto form to inflect his discourse and, in spite of his strong resistance to the polemical genre as mere provocation, nevertheless proposes his own art poétique and program.
