Abstract
Un des points saillants dudit positivisme logique réside dans sa critique de la métaphysique. De ce point de vue, la contribution de Moritz Schlick est tout à fait décisive. Partant de présupposés néo-kantiens, il a progressivement évolué vers un nouveau type de critique de la métaphysique, sous l’influence de Wittgenstein. On trouve au cœur de sa critique de la métaphysique, sous sa forme ultime, l’idée que la philosophie est une activité, et non une doctrine. Une position qui mériterait qu’on lui prête quelque attention aujourd’hui, face au prétendu retour de la métaphysique dans ce qui se nomme philosophie analytique.
