Abstract
Cet article traite de la question des inégalités écologiques en Europe, dans un premier temps, en explicitant cette notion complexe fortement tributaire des cultures sociopolitiques et philosophiques. Cette caractérisation est le préliminaire à une évaluation de la place occupée par les inégalités écologiques dans les politiques de développement urbain durable et la manière dont l’action publique prend en compte ce problème. Cette analyse comparative fait émerger les obstacles majeurs auxquels sont confrontés les acteurs chargés de faire advenir le développement durable en Europe face aux inégalités écologiques ainsi que des initiatives originales permettant de surmonter ces obstacles.
