Abstract
La sixième édition du ForumDu 5 au 30 novembre 2002 avait lieu à Montréal l'événement Forum 2002 organisé par le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne.Cette édition du Forum était constituée de plus de quatre-vingt-dix heures de répétitions publiques, de sept rencontres autour d'un repas, de sept séminaires d'analyse, de trois rencontres-portraits et de trois concerts.Sept compositeurs de sept pays différents ont été sélectionnés pour composer une œuvre pour le NEM.Il s'agissait de Luca Antignani (Italie), Alain Beauchesne (Canada), Kuei-Ju Lin (Taiwan), Joshua Penman (États-Unis), Eneko Vadillo-Perrez (Espagne), Luis Rizo-Salom (Colombie) et Christopher Tonkin (Australie).Ces sept finalistes avaient été choisis parmi plus d'une centaine de candidats par un jury international présidé par le compositeur montréalais John Rea.Ce jury, en outre constitué de Erik Ona, Roger Reynolds et Frans van Rossum, a choisi trois gagnants dont les oeuvres, comme celle du récipiendaire du prix du public, furent entendues au concert gala final et gravées sur disque compact.Les trois gagnants furent les candidats de l'Italie, de l'Australie et de la Colombie.C'est le compositeur espagnol qui remporta le prix du public.
