Abstract
La traduction dans la presse a joué un rôle important pour la consolidation de l’indépendance du Venezuela. À l’aide d’une méthode descriptive, nous avons étudié les traductions publiées au Venezuela dans le périodique Gaceta de Caracas , du 27 avril 1810 au 5 juin 1812. Nous avons d’abord repéré et caractérisé les traductions du corpus (tous les numéros publiés entre le 27 avril 1810 et le 5 juin 1812). Ensuite, une analyse comparative a été effectuée entre les textes originaux repérés et leur traduction pour déterminer les stratégies utilisées par les traducteurs. La Gaceta de Caracas constitue ainsi une source très riche pour l’étude de la traduction de l’époque indépendantiste.
