Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The gaseous mercury conversion between elemental mercury and oxidized mercury in the flue gas cooling process is a key problem in the mercury emission study. This paper focused on the effect of basic fly ash compositions, such as CaO, which may react with chlorine to produce CaCl 2 in the same temperature range as mercury oxidation, hence decrease the chlorine concentration in flue gas and inhibit the oxidation of mercury. The thermodynamic equilibrium simulation shows that, in CaO-bearing flue gas, the stable Cl species shift from HCl to CaCl 2 below 900 K and the conversion temperature between Hg and HgCl 2 decreases as the CaO concentration increases. On-site experimental results in power plants by applying the Ontario Hydro method also supported this conclusion.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
