Abstract
En 1997, la société française POCHECO, de Forest-sur-Marque, qui fabrique des enveloppes de mise sous pli automatique, est au bord de la faillite. Son principal actionnaire a le choix : ou bien il ferme l’usine, ou bien il engage son fils comme président. Avec l’accord de son coactionnaire, il choisira la deuxième solution. Emmanuel Druon, qui prend alors la tête de l’entreprise, exige toutefois de pouvoir gérer celle-ci à sa façon. Et sa façon consiste à appliquer l’écolonomie, soit l’alliage de l’écologie et de l’économie. Il mettra en œuvre trois principes auxquels il tient fermement : la baisse de l’impact sur l’environnement, la baisse de la dangerosité et de la pénibilité du travail ainsi que l’amélioration de la productivité. Cet article relate de quelle manière le président s’y est pris pour rendre son entreprise à la fois prospère et respectueuse de l’environnement.
