Abstract

The arrival of very high spatial resolution images forces to reconsider new methods of description of the surfaces represented in remote sensing images. In this article, we describe an approach of self-adapting morphological segmentation using this new type of images, we associates to the segmentation approach, the exploitation of the extracted data throughout process, in the objective to collect, to model and homogenize these data within descriptors in order to query these segmented images. The use of this information available on the relevant objects implies the taking into account the spatial relations, in order to describe the relations between the objects, and their characteristics. It is the modeling and the generation of descriptors which makes this approach original in the context of processing remote sensing images.
