Abstract
TJ Dawe's hit Fringe play, Totem Figures, is an intricately structured solo show about the characters and artists who have influenced Dawe's own performing career. JENN STEPHENSON analyzes how this unique autobiographical play reworks the traditional divide between writer/performer and fictional narrator/protagonist, leaving the audience to decipher between fact and fiction.
