Abstract
L’apparition récente de situations familiales inédites et de demandes de reconnaissance associées à ces situations entraîne un réexamen des notions de parenté, de parentalité et de filiation. Qu’est-ce que la filiation? Quel en est le sens? Et la parenté, en quoi diffère-t-elle de la filiation? Quant à la parentalité, comment la situer au regard de la parenté et de la filiation? Le présent texte examine ces questions du point de vue des enfants. Il brosse un tableau des réalités et des courants de pensée qui ont cours à ce sujet dans le monde occidental, en accordant une attention particulière à la situation canadienne.
