« La poésie ne s’enseigne pas » : pistes méthodologiques contre une idée reçue

Abstract
Cet article a pour objectif d’aller à l’encontre d’une idée reçue, largement répandue, selon laquelle la poésie ne s’enseigne pas et ne s’analyse pas, sous peine d’être dénaturée. À l’appui d’une expérience pédagogique menée depuis une dizaine d’années à l’Université de Liège, je propose quelques pistes méthodologiques et théoriques pour l’enseignement de la poésie, en me fondant sur une double articulation. Le poème comme énoncé, d’une part : considéré comme texte doté d’un dispositif formel, sémantique et rhétorique spécifique ; le poème comme énonciation, de l’autre : appréhendé, y compris à travers l’activité particulière qui consiste à « l’expliquer », comme acte de parole qui engage non seulement la vision du monde de son auteur, mais aussi les dispositions de celui qui le lit.
