Abstract
Los ultimos 10 anos han sido testigos de una enorme evolucion en nuestra comprension de la biologia del carcinoma cortical renal (CCR), que ha dado lugar al desarrollo de nuevos tratamientos medicos y a una revolucion en el manejo clinico del CCR. En esta revision se expone la base genetica del CCR y de los mecanismos moleculares de la via inducida por la hipoxia, la via de la diana de rapamicina en mamiferos, la via de la cinasa regulada por senal extracelular y la via ubiquitina-proteasoma. Todas estas vias moleculares estan implicadas en la biologia del CCR, la tumorogenesis y la progresion, y a partir de ellas se pueden disenar nuevas estrategias terapeuticas racionales basadas en el diseno de pequenos inhibidores moleculares dirigidos frente a determinadas dianas.
