En raison de leurs effets directs sur l'accès du public aux soins et du fait que les services touchés soient financés par le gouvernement, les décisions en matière de services assurés et d'affectation des ressources représentent un domaine particulièrement important de la participation publique. Nous présentons un cadre qui oriente les décideurs dans des questions clés qu'ils doivent se poser lorsqu'ils décident, structurent, évaluent et diffusent les résultats des exercices de participation du public, notamment en ce qui a trait aux décisions en matière de services assurés et d'affectation des ressources. Le cadre permettra aux décideurs d'obtenir une participation citoyenne viable et significative sur ces sujets.
