Abstract

Cet article a pour objet l’analyse de l’efficacité argumentative de messages envoyés sur Internet, à la suite d’une initiative citoyenne prise en avril 2002. Celle-ci consistait à proposer à un auditoire de participer à des ateliers d’argumentation pour se former à dialoguer avec des électeurs du Front national. On conclut de cette analyse, d’une part, que certaines conditions doivent être remplies pour surmonter la tension entre le genre argumentatif et le moyen de l’écrit, et d’autre part, que ce n’est pas le support Internet qui a fait communauté, mais plus simplement la communauté argumentative qui a utilisé le support.
