Abstract
Suite à une recherche de type quantitatif et qualitatif effectuée auprès de 350 jeunes de la région du Grand Montréal (Québec-Canada) sur l’usage des TIC dans la vie quotidienne, l’article décrit le phénomène de réappropriation inter-technologique des appareils disponibles à la maison et analyse les pratiques transmédias. L’auteur met en lumière un phénomène singulier, la pratique télénaute, qu’il décrit comme l’usage en simultané de la télévision et de l’Internet. Comme on le sait, ces jeunes qui sont nés avec Internet et l’ordinateur font un usage des TIC fort différent de leurs aînés qui ont vécu à l’ère de la télévision. 40 % d’entre eux regardent la télévision en même temps qu’ils chattent, jouent ou recherchent de l’information sur Internet.
