Abstract
Sur une période de cinquante années (1960 à 2010), la recherche en communication pour le développement a eu pour ambition de proposer des théories permettant à l’Afrique de sortir du sous-développement. Les chercheurs africains ont perpétué qu’ils le veulent ou non, cette tradition qui se retrouve dans l’impasse. Le présent article a pour but de présenter un regard théorique et critique sur cinquante années de communication pour le développement dans un contexte de postcolonialité en Afrique. Les idéologies scientifiques à l’œuvre sont déconstruites et des interrogations sont portées sur la centralité des Technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) dans les recherches africaines.
