Cet article montre pourquoi l’inégale contribution des groupes sociaux au problème climatique n’est pas prise en compte lorsque les agents de l’Etat communiquent pour inciter les Français à modifier leurs comportements afin d’émettre moins de gaz à effet de serre, ce qui est une manière de participer à la conservation de l’ordre social. Des entretiens avec les producteurs de la campagne de l’Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie et une analyse des contenus diffusés révèlent qu’ils masquent les causes sociales et politiques du problème lié aux changements climatiques.
