Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We investigate an approach to extract parameters from a fuzzy logic (FL) algorithm modeled using MATLAB's fuzzy logic toolbox and configure a FL coprocessor synthesized in VHDL. The FL algorithm selected as our case controls the temperature of an oven and calculates the cooking time for products of varying size and requested temperature. Traditionally, FL algorithms are implemented on general purpose processors; however design constraints are not met because of hardware limitations. The presented hardware implementation allows for the FL algorithm to be embedded in small products, coupled with a host processor. We define a configurable FL coprocessor architecture, where the architecture can be configured before compilation to reflect the behaviour as described in the model. Compared to a general purpose processor solution, we observe a speed up of 6 times and area increase of 16% when using the configurable FL coprocessor.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
