La recherche présentée adopte le point de vue des apprenants et place l’apprentissage en vidéocommunication (VC) au niveau universitaire au centre des préoccupations. Les objectifs poursuivis sont de favoriser la compréhension de ce contexte et de proposer quelques recommandations basées sur l’expérience. Une étude descriptive corrélationnelle a été menée dans 11 cours donnés en VC dans 3 universités afin d’étudier les facteurs associés aux difficultés attentionnelles des apprenants. Deux questionnaires ont été employés. Le premier permettait d’établir un profil des participants alors que le second a été administré selon les principes de l’experience sampling method afin de faciliter la collecte des données relatives à l’expérience vécue à deux moments précis. Plusieurs méthodes statistiques ont été employées afin de traiter les données, dont une analyse acheminatoire et un plan factoriel d’analyse de variance « 2 sites 2 temps ». Les données démontrent, entre autres, l’importance du site et de son influence modératrice sur plusieurs facteurs explicatifs, dont la méthode pédagogique. Les résultats sont résumés et des recommandations à caractère organisationnel et pédagogique sont dégagées. Quelques pistes de recherche sont aussi proposées. L’ensemble des résultats intéressera les chercheurs, les administrateurs, les designers pédagogiques et les enseignants ayant à travailler avec la vidéocommunication.
