Abstract
La vida política de nicaragua en el 2011 giró alrededor de las elecciones generales de noviembre, en las que se debatió la suerte del proyecto "cristiano, socialista y solidario" del Frente sandinista de Liberación nacional (FsLn) liderado por daniel Ortega.triunfó Ortega con un amplio margen, en medio de acusaciones de fraude.en realidad, el FsLn pasó por encima de la constitución y las normas que rigen el proceso electoral para alcanzar su contundente victoria.una explicación de la victoria de Ortega, sin embargo, también debe considerar las enormes debilidades de la oposición que no logró articular un discurso y una visión social congruentes con las necesidades del país.Ortega, por el contrario, logró capturar la imaginación de millones de nicaragüenses que se debaten en la pobreza.
