ADoença Arterial Coronariana vem crescendo de forma assustadora nos últimos anos, sendo a Cirurgia Cardíaca uma de suas formas de tratamento. A cirurgia é uma situação angustiante e única na vida do paciente e seu familiar, assim, optamos por desenvolver uma prática assistencial de enfermagem com o objetivo de promover a saúde dos envolvidos no processo, procurando reeducar seus hábitos. Para atingir o objetivo fizemos uso do Modelo McGill de Enfermagem e do Modelo de Cuidado de Carraro. Apresentamos neste artigo o relato desta prática, proposta na Disciplina de Projetos Assistências em Enfermagem e Saúde, do Programa de Pós-graduação em Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
