Abstract
L’article examine trois concepts-clés indispensables à l’étude de la morphogenèse des villes. Il traite d’abord du centre organisateur des villes, c’est-à-dire de leur origine, de leur attractivité, de leur investissement de sens et de leur permanence dans la longue durée. Il dégage ensuite les schèmes d’interaction spatiale qu’il est pertinent de concevoir pour assurer le passage du niveau micro-géographique des acteurs et de leurs multiples actions au niveau méso-géographique des formes structurant l’organisation spatiale interne des villes. Il explicite enfin un modèle dynamique d’espace anisotrope. Ce modèle permet de reconstituer la façon dont des gradients morphogénétiques différencient l’espace interne des villes en des domaines qualitativement distincts. Des exemples tirés de la morphogenèse de Paris sont utilisés.
