Abstract
Résumé L'oeuvre de Saint-Denys Garneau compose aujourd'hui un ensemble plus complexe que ne le laissait soupçonner Regards et jeux dans l'espace, l'unique recueil de poèmes paru du vivant de l'auteur. À la lumière des écrits posthumes, elle prend le caractère d'une "écriture du moi", dont la forme englobante est celle du Journal. Saint-Denys Garneau y situe tous ses écrits, y compris les poèmes, la correspondance et les essais, en les inscrivant dans une problématique de l'intimité. En rétablissant sa poésie dans l'ensemble formel du Journal, plutôt que dans une perspective biographique ou anecdotique, on y reconnaîtra la conscience d'une perte d'intimité avec soi-même en même temps que les avancées d'un projet d'écriture de soi. À travers des genres divers, subsumes par la forme du journal, Saint-Denys Garneau s'adonne à une quête unique, celle de l'être-moi.
