Abstract
Résumé Les organisations du commerce équitable qui se réclament de l’économie sociale et solidaire, en raison de leur spécificité, font face à des enjeux complexes qui interpellent la gestion stratégique. Dans cet article, nous commençons par démystifier et revaloriser la gestion stratégique de ces organisations. Par la suite, nous présentons les principaux éléments d’un modèle d’optimisation de la cohérence stratégique (le meneur d’enjeux, les orientations, l’organisation et l’arène stratégiques). Nous montrons comment ce modèle peut être appliqué par les organisations du commerce équitable et gagne à l’être, en illustrant chaque composante du modèle à l’aide de travaux empiriques sur le commerce équitable réalisés au Sud comme au Nord. Enfin, nous faisons ressortir cinq conditions de succès du modèle d’optimisation de la cohérence stratégique.
