Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

An algorithm for rough machining of multi-sculptured surfaces on milling machines is presented. The boundary contours are first created by decomposing the sculptured surfaces into a number of parallel cutting layers. These contours are defined using the Z buffer map created from the parallel projection of the triangles that approximate the surfaces. A set of offset curves is then generated inside the boundaries in each layer based on the proposed minimum distance approach. This algorithm efficiently creates boundary contours and inherently prevents the problem of loops, shocks and self-intersections that usually occur during the offset curve generation. One notable advantage of the proposed method is that the tool path generation is independent of the method used for surface description.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
