Abstract
Le récit qui constitue L’Écart se donne comme une réponse à l’énigme de la mort d’Ahmed Nara – le personnage archéologue, au sens foucaldien du terme, du roman de Mudimbe – et à l’échec de l’autopsie censée en rendre compte. À partir de la contre-inscription dans le texte d’une telle figure du dispositif anatomo-clinique dégagé par Foucault dans Naissance de la clinique , cet article analyse en terme de « traversées », la reconduction et déconstruction narrative de ce discours sur l’intériorité et l’individu, afin d’identifier les stratégies et des tactiques d’une écriture du savoir sur une identité culturelle Africaine qui hérite de cadres épistémologiques occidentaux.
