Abstract
La renommée du Petit Prince est telle que ce récit peut être envisagé comme la transcription symbolique d’une expérience psychique primordiale. L’hypothèse que nous développons plus précisément consiste à repérer dans cette histoire une allégorie du processus de maturation chez le sujet et nous proposons de la traiter comme s’il s’agissait d’un matériau clinique. Il apparaît que Saint-Exupéry nous livre à travers cette narration sa compréhension de l’aide psychique en nous exposant une véritable démarche de soins à l’adresse d’un enfant en souffrance. Il contribue ainsi à nous éclairer sur la nature des processus psychiques mobilisés dans un cadre thérapeutique et tout particulièrement sur ce que Winnicott appelle les phénomènes transitionnels.
