Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This presentation provides an overview of the open architecture for the control center modernization and consolidation project at BCTC. BCTC is the provincial crown corporation responsible for operating, planning and managing British Columbia's high-voltage electric transmission grid. BCTC is regulated by the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC). The design is based on the technology strategy of creating a long-term cost effective, sound and sustainable solution. The integration solution provided allows modular introduction of new applications and upgrading of individual applications without impacting the rest of the system. The approach consisted of pragmatic, real-world decision making framework that addressed multiple conflicting requirements and constraints. The architecture created an open and flexible framework for evolving the consolidated control centers into a scalable infrastructure for evolution and implementation of a long term road map.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
