I am very pleased with the responses to my article Connections, which has finally seen the light of day. In spite of the fact that I have put it together in various ways for various purposes during a period of more than 20 years, it is still nevertheless just a work in progress. In that spirit I believe I can make more progress now based on the reviews in this issue of Curriculum Inquiry and I hope there will be other opportunities to learn from other scholars who have given attention to the issues we have raised. I propose to deal first with some of the general issues raised by our reviewers and then proceed to more detailed criticisms. I believe readers may wish to see the formula right here just as a reminder. It is:
