Abstract
Cette étude propose un panorama historique et descriptif de quatre éditeurs qui se sont intéressés à l’édition du théâtre pour la jeunesse : Leméac éditeur, Québec/Amérique, VLB éditeur et Lanctôt éditeur. Chacune des collections de ces éditeurs y est décrite ainsi que quelques titres marquants. Si bien que cette étude permet de voir l’évolution du théâtre proposé aux enfants et aux adolescents au cours de trois décennies. En outre, les liens entre l’édition, le théâtre et l’école sont présentés car ces trois milieux se côtoient, parfois malgré eux et parfois en harmonie. Cet article permettra d’établir si les éditeurs de textes dramatiques pour la jeunesse tentent de séduire le marché scolaire, notamment en intégrant des guides pédagogiques à leurs publications, ou s’ils recherchent un tout autre destinataire.
