Le Commissaire à la santé et au bien-être du Québec a confié aux auteurs le mandat d’étudier l’information et la sensibilisation aux droits en santé et services sociaux, sous l’angle de la littératie. D’une part, ils rendent compte de la perception, de la connaissance et de l’expérience que les usagers et les intervenants en santé et en services sociaux ont des droits et des responsabilités des usagers, à l’aide de recherches documentaires, d’entretiens semi-dirigés et de sondages téléphoniques. D’autre part, dans une perspective d’analyse du discours, ils étudient les logiques sociocognitives des enquêtés les plus fragilisés sur le plan socioéconomique, à partir de leurs propres aventures santé.
