Abstract
Le concept Je culture dans l'analyse du développement économique du Japon Plusieurs auteurs ont voulu, à tort, éliminer tout examen des facteurs culturels dans l'explication du développement économique japonais sous prétexte que ce concept était difficile à définir. La culture est ici définie comme liée à la motivation, à la rationalisation, au choix, à la prise de décision. L'importance de ce concept vient de sa référence aux limites imposées aux actions. Dans cet article, l'auteur examine quel rôle la culture japonaise a joué dans le développement économique japonais, en prenant comme exemples les relations de travail, la constitution de groupes territoriaux et la prise de décision. Il montre comment des principes d'organisation venant du passé sont encore utilisés dans les industries et dans d'autres types d'organisation au Japon à l'heure actuelle.
