Abstract
La transnationalisation de l’action collective implique des changements d’échelles de l’activité des mouvements sociaux. Peu abordées chez les sociologues et les politologues, les notions d’échelle et de politique(s) des échelles sont par contre centrales en géographie critique anglo-saxonne où elles sous-tendent un corpus émergent de recherches sur la transnationalisation. Visant à donner une visibilité à ces travaux, cet article expose les développements théoriques et les orientations programmatiques que ceux-ci suggèrent. Une attention particulière y est donnée aux processus de construction d’une échelle transnationale d’organisation et d’activité des mouvements, au caractère multiscalaire de l’action collective dite transnationale et, finalement, aux « effets de lieu » dans le rééchelonnement des cadrages collectifs.
