Abstract
La montée des intégrismes religieux, tout comme l’essor des nouveaux mouvements religieux et les multiples demandes de sens dans les sociétés contemporaines, a forcé le renouvellement des perspectives sociologiques concernant la sécularisation du monde moderne. Ces phénomènes ne peuvent être interprétés comme un retour au passé et un refus de la modernité. Ils sont plutôt des productions religieuses de la modernité. Plus particulièrement en ce qui a trait au radicalisme religieux, l’auteure émet l’hypothèse qu’il contribue à étendre le champ d’action de la modernité.
