Résumé Au cours des dernières années, les technologies de l’information (TI), telles que les progiciels de gestion intégrés ou ERP, les solutions de commerce électronique interentreprises ou les portails Internet, ont joué un rôle important dans la mise en œuvre de plusieurs stratégies d’affaires dans la plupart des industries et dans la fonction publique. Ces technologies offrent un fort potentiel d’intégration, de partage de l’information et de collaboration en temps réel. Elles facilitent la transformation des façons de faire de plusieurs entreprises. Dans ce contexte, les projets de déploiement de solutions de TI sont devenus un élément clé pour la réussite de l’entreprise. Or, la capacité de livrer à l’entreprise des projets de TI à valeur ajoutée demeure une préoccupation majeure pour le responsable de la fonction TI. De plus en plus, les défis technologiques dans la gestion de projets de TI sont liés à la gestion des effets transformationnels de ces projets dans l’organisation. Il devient alors urgent de se demander si les rôles assumés par les chefs de projets de TI ont évolué vers un profil davantage orienté vers la gestion des effets transformationnels des TI.
