Abstract
Résumé Pour perpétuer des éléments fondateurs de la culture, les communautés des diasporas utilisent leur espace privé comme territoire privilégié de la conservation et de l’expression d’une identité exilée. L’exemple des Arméniens du Québec est, à cet égard, particulièrement révélateur tant dans la composition de sa culture matérielle et immatérielle que dans les pratiques qui la mettent en scène par l’entremise de petits musées domestiques. À partir d’un recueil de récits de vie et de biographies d’objets, l’article propose d’établir le portrait de ces structures muséales et de leurs collections à l’échelle familiale pour ensuite saisir leur œuvre dans le projet de transmission culturelle.
