Reference to this edition will be made by citation to the number of the volume and page number, followed by the number of the aphorism. The German novel Kahn and Engelmann: Eine Familiensaga, first published in German in 2000 by Picus Verlag in Vienna is now available in a superb translation by Jean Snook.
