Abstract
À partir de deux études de cas ethnographiques recueillies en France et au Cameroun, cet article analyse, au prisme du genre, la mobilité transnationale de deux couples d’Afrique subsaharienne confrontés à l’infertilité. Les deux cas révèlent un processus similaire de désengagement masculin articulé à une volonté acharnée de la femme à être enceinte. Le travail reproductif avec assistance médicale à la procréation ( AMP ) s’il peut révéler des pratiques d’émancipation par rapport à des normes socioculturelles (notamment en termes de relations conjugales avec un refus de la polygamie), continue néanmoins de reposer sur les femmes et ne remet pas en cause la dichotomie entre travail productif masculin et travail reproductif féminin.
