Abstract
Cet article rend compte d'une expérience d'insertion socioprofessionnelle par l'économie sociale. La démarche de groupe relatée consistait à accompagner neuf personnes ayant une déficience visuelle dans les premières étapes devant les amener au démarrage d'une coopérative de travail. Les auteurs exposent les résultats de cette démarche fondée sur cinq principes d'empowerment: l'engagement informé, l'évitement des étiquettes, la participation et l'action, la force du collectif et la remise en question de l'oppression. Bien que l'expérience n'ait pas conduit à la création d'une entreprise collective, elle a eu des retombées positives. Si l'on croit toujours à la pertinence d'une telle approche, ilconvient de mettre en place certaines conditions favorisant le soutien local de tels projets avant même de constituer un groupe.
