Abstract
Être femme et pacifiste après la Grande Guerre relève du risque ; risque d’être incomprise, risque d’être ignorée ou d’être vue comme cherchant à bouleverser les rôles sexués. Contrairement aux Britanniques et aux Américaines, les femmes françaises n’obtiennent pas le droit de vote après la Première Guerre mondiale et restent exclues des affaires politiques et internationales en raison de leur sexe. Cela n’empêche pas la création d’un mouvement de femmes pour la paix qui cherche à se faire entendre sur les questions internationales. Les journaux et les revues féminines deviennent des domaines d’action à l’intérieur desquels les femmes peuvent échanger et dialoguer entre elles. À partir d’une analyse de la revue féminine et pacifiste « La Mère Éducatrice », nous nous intéresserons à la façon dont ces femmes perçoivent et participent aux affaires mondiales de l’immédiat de l’après-guerre jusqu’à l’échec de la Conférence du Désarmement de 1932.
