Abstract
La dermatomyosite est une maladie inflammatoire rare de la peau et des muscles, décrite chez l’homme et le chien. La dermatomyosite canine familiale a été surtout décrite dans les races Colley et Shetland, mais des cas ont également été rapportés dans d’autres races (Chow-Chow, Labrador, Welsh Corgi, Beauceron et Berger Allemand). Cet article rapporte les caractéristiques épidémiologiques, cliniques, diagnostiques et thérapeutiques de la maladie chez le chien en les rapprochant de la dermatomyosite familiale de l’enfant.
