Abstract
Le Fear of Negative Evalutation scale mesure un construit central tant dans l'etude de la personnalite qu'en psychologie sociale et clinique (Watson & Friend, 1969). Pour repondre aux besoins des chercheurs francophones, Keroack, Boisvert et Prevost (1987) ont traduit la version abregee, soit l'Echelle de peur du jugement negatif d'Autrui (PJNA). L'adolescence etant la periode ou l'anxiete sociale prend le plus d'importance, l'absence de donnees normatives et psychometriques aupres de cette population constitue une lacune importante. La presente recherche vise donc a examiner ses proprietes psychometriques et a etablir des normes pour les adolescents francophones. Cinq cent soixante-dix-huit participants âges de 14 a 19 ans ont complete le PJNA et la version francaise du Social Avoidance and Distress Scale. La structure factorielle, les indices de coherence interne et de validite convergente confirment la qualite de la traduction et la validite du questionnaire. Les normes sont presentees separement selon le sexe.
