Abstract
L'institutionnalisme a toujours été un principe cardinal dans la politique de sécurité de l'Allemagne de l'après-guerre. Dans trois études de cas, cet article montre que ce principe a été non seulement observé mais renforcé considérablement par les dirigeants politiques allemands. Ainsi, dans le cas de l'unification de l'Allemagne, Bonn insista dans ses négociations avec l'Union soviétique pour ancrer l'Allemagne au système institutionnel de sécurité de l'Alliance occidentale et réussit ainsi à influencer sensiblement l'orientation future des ns européennes. Elle participa aux opérations humanitaires en Somalie afin défaire valoir sa candidature à la permanence au Conseil de sécurité.
