André Martinet m'avait expressément demandé de revenir en détail sur le statut de la phonostylistique.Peu après, il en donnait sa propre interprétation, dans La Linguistique (1995).J'ai répondu dans le numéro suivant (1995).Si je reviens beaucoup plus tard, c'est grâce à la gentille indulgence et la grande ouverture d'esprit d'Henriette Walter, qui a été la première à oser publier une bibliographie de phonostylistique, dans la revue Langue française, en 1983, alors que le terme était encore bien suspect.Il le reste encore et c'est pourquoi j'ose revenir sur le sujet, profitant tardivement de ce colloque dédié au maître.
