Abstract
The BioMedical Imaging and Therapy (BMIT) Beamline is a multidisciplinary, multiuse facility that is being constructed at the Canadian Light Source, Canada's National Synchrotron Facility. The BMIT Beamline will have two specific research uses, non‐destructive imaging of tissues and radiation therapy in living organisms. The total cost of this project will be approximately $17M. Funding for this project has been obtained from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation, the provincial governments and charitable foundations. The BMIT Beamline is projected to be ready for operations in 2007.
