Abstract
La costilla cervical consiste en una costilla supernumeraria que surge de la sptima vrtebra cervical y termina libremente en el tejido del cuello o se articula con la primera costilla. Puede ser asintomtica y diagnosticarse como hallazgo casual en una radiografa de trax, o bien presentarse con dolor en la regin supraclavicular o como complicacin en forma de sndrome del desfiladero torcico. A menudo plantea diagnstico diferencial con masas tumorales malignas, por sus caractersticas en la exploracin. El manejo suele ser conservador y la intervencin quirrgica se reserva para casos muy sintomticos o complicados. Presentamos un caso clnico de costilla cervical sintomtica y su abordaje desde Atencin Primaria.
