Abstract
Les dimensions géographiques du nationalisme canadien-français ont été peu étudiées par les historiens. Grâce à une analyse des manuels de géographie publiés au Québec entre le début du XIXe siècle et l'aube de la Révolution tranquille, l'auteur met en évidence certaines facettes négligées de l'appartenance territoriale canadienne-française. S'attachant à quelques thèmes (cadre territorial de la description, valorisation esthétique du territoire, campagnes de colonisation et figures de l'Autre), il tente de montrer 1' importance des références territoriales. La géographie prend ainsi sa place à côté de l'histoire pour compléter le portrait du nationalisme «scolaire».
