William Hutt left an indelible mark on Canadian theatre, representing for audience members and critics the epitome of a distinctly Canadian style of classical acting. It is this reputation, writes ROBERT ORMSBY, that the writers of the hit series, Slings and Arrows, played with to great effect when they cast Hutt as a King Lear-like character in the show's final season.
