Abstract
Objective : to reveal the knowledge of the nursing staff of the pediatric unit of a university hospital (UH), regarding the participation of the child during the hospitalization process and discuss the actions of the nursing staff before the childs participation during the hospitalization. Method : a exploratory and descriptive, qualitative approach. It will be the scene of a pediatric unit UH. The subjects are all members of the nursing staff of the pediatric unit that meet the inclusion criteria previously established, or should: have at least one year of practical experience in the unit, working in day services and sign the end of consent. Data collection is through semi-structured interviews and participant observation, which will be used in a field diary. Research approved by the Ethics and Research of Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto (HUPE)/UERJ under protocol number. 2570. The qualitative data analysis will be done through content analysis. It is important to note that the categories emerged from analysis of the interviews will be analyzed also according to the points of convergence found in the items reported in the journal during the field observation. RESUMO O bjetivo : desvelar o conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem, da unidade pediátrica do hospital universitário (HU), em relação à participação da criança durante o processo de hospitalização e discutir as ações da equipe de enfermagem frente à participação da criança durante o processo de hospitalização. Método : e studo de natureza exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. Terá como cenário a unidade pediátrica de um HU. Os sujeitos do estudo serão todos os integrantes da equipe de enfermagem da unidade pediátrica que atendam aos critérios de inclusão pré-estabelecidos, quais sejam: possuir pelo menos um ano de experiência prática na referida unidade, trabalhar no serviço diurno e assinar ao termo de consentimento livre e esclarecido. A coleta de dados será pela entrevista semi-estruturada e da observação participante, na qual será utilizado um diário de campo. Pesquisa aprovada pelo comitê de Ética e Pesquisa do Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto (HUPE)/UERJ sob número de protocolo. 2570. A análise dos dados qualitativos será efetuada por meio da análise de conteúdo. É importante ressaltar que as categorias emergidas da análise das entrevistas serão analisadas também de acordo com os pontos de convergência encontrados nos itens registrados no diário de campo durante a observação participante. RESUMEN Objetivo : revelan los conocimientos del personal de enfermería de la unidad de pediatría de un hospital universitario (HU), relativo a la participación del niño durante el proceso de hospitalización y discutir las acciones del personal de enfermería antes de la participación del niño durante la hospitalización. Método : un estudio exploratorio-descriptivo, el enfoque cualitativo. Será el escenario de una unidad pediátrica HU. Los temas son todos los miembros del personal de enfermería de la unidad pediátrica que cumplan los criterios de inclusión previamente establecidos, o debería: tener al menos un año de experiencia práctica en la unidad, que trabajan en los servicios de día y de firmar el final de consentimiento. La recopilación de datos es a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas y observación participante, que será utilizado en un diario de campo. De investigación aprobado por la Ética y la Investigación del Hospital Universitario Pedro Ernesto (HUPE)/UERJ con el número de protocolo. 2570. El análisis de datos cualitativos se realiza a través de análisis de contenido. Es importante señalar que las categorías que emergieron del análisis de las entrevistas se analizarán también en función de los puntos de convergencia en los artículos publicados en la revista durante la observación de campo.
