Abstract
Si la « marginalité » de l'espace rural québécois a suscité beaucoup d'intérêt au cours des années i960 à 1975, elle est devenue moins préoccupante par la suite, et on sait moins à quoi elle correspond durant les années 80. On s'efforce ici de préciser cette notion de marginalité, tout particulièrement économique, et de dégager sa signification aux plans spatial, démographique et occupationnel. La notion de mobilité géographique mérite une attention particulière. L'analyse s'appuie sur une base locale en tenant compte des statistiques de 1971-1981 et de 1982.
